S+ Patio House - Published project

VD architectural Magazine selected project.

The patio is the heart of this house. Surrounding a Japanese maple, it creates a calm and intimate space with endless views of the Pacific Ocean.

Stones from a local quarry were used in the interior together with 150-year-old oak wood reclaimed from a demolition.

“Colihues,” or natural canes, act as natural sun filters and are placed between the exterior and interior spaces, generating different shades of light.
